This blog is a portfolio of design and DIY projects, a memoir of my life as a German Mama living in the U.S., a storybook of parenting successes, failures and challenges, and a diary of our family’s journey to adopt a baby.
Since 2010 I’ve been focusing on raising my beautiful, smart and adventurous little girl. Previously, I worked in advertising agencies in Hamburg/Germany, London and San Francisco and had my own event design shop until that baby bump was getting in the way.
First and foremost, I am a stay-at-home mom. But no matter how much joy I find in finger painting, sleep training and toddler soccer practice (no really!), I never pass the opportunity to (help) plan a wedding, baby shower or birthday party.
I am a naptime entrepreneur. When naptime comes, I design, organize, decorate, craft and (spray) paint, always seeking a good balance of creativity, practicality, profitability and my passion for small businesses.
My daughter is my inspiration. She teaches me to be imaginative, to see beauty in the simple things, and to be fearless of dirt. But most importantly, how to have fun in all we create.
Whether you need guidance in designing your event, assistance in tracking you progress and keeping you on task, or someone to execute your ideas on the day of so you can be a guest at your own party, I can make your life easier.
All proceeds from my freelance jobs go straight into our adoption fund. Please check out my humble Yelp page and email me directly to discuss my services.
